LETHBRIDGE, AB – Dr. Brad Donaldson has officially taken office as Lethbridge College’s ninth President and CEO following a swearing-in ceremony on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Donaldson holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Calgary and was previously the Vice President of Academics (VPA) at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Donaldson says the first step for him is getting to know the school.

“The first year is about understanding; understanding the culture, the issues, the challenges, the great things that are happening so I can really feel what the culture is, what the institution is looking to accomplish, and how a strategy needs to be developed in order to achieve the purpose that we’re here for,” says Donaldson. “Creating great education for the students and great career growth for our employees.”

Donaldson says it’s humbling to become the ninth president.

“It’s got great foundations, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help lead it into the ever-swirling future that we find ourselves in,” says Donaldson.

The president says his leadership style includes collaboration and engagement with purpose.

Lethbridge College’s previous president resigned in January of 2022.
