LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have re-assigned one of their players.

Defenceman Kaden Phillips has been moved to the Lethbridge U18 Hurricanes. The Olds. Alberta skater was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the ninth round, 192 overall, in the 2020 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft.

Phillips appeared in two pre-season games with the Hurricanes, collecting one assist and two penalty minutes. Due to an injury, he has not dressed for any of Lethbridge’s 2022-2023 regular season games.

Last year, Phillips recorded 10 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 25 regular season games with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Black U17 program. In four post-season contests, he had seven assists. Phillips also suited up with the OHA U18 team for six games. He had one assist and four penalty minutes.

With this latest re-assignment, the Hurricanes now have a 23-player roster, which includes 13 forwards, seven defencemen and three goaltenders.

The Lethbridge club is back in action Wednesday, October 26, 2022 against the Broncos in Swift Current. The team is also gearing up for the B93 Halloween Howler at the ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge on Saturday, October 29.
