Man charged following drug seizure at South Lethbridge home

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 34-year-old has been charged by the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) following a search in South Lethbridge this week.

A search was executed at a home along the 500 block of 11 Street South on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Members of the Crime Suppression Team and Property Crimes Unit assisted with the search.

Police say a man was arrested without incident and officers seized drugs, including:

• 31.7 grams of methamphetamine
• 83.8 grams of cocaine
• 19.1 grams of crack cocaine
• Nine oxycocet pills

The LPS says a vehicle and $3,255 in cash were also seized.

Oliver Mongu Malisi is charged with:

• Four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
• One count of possession of stolen property (proceeds of crime)
• One count of failure to comply with a release order

He was remanded in custody following a Judicial Interim Release hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
