Doctor Mark Joffe named new chief medical officer of health for Alberta
EDMONTON, AB – Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has made good on her commitment to make changes to the leadership at Alberta Health Services.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw has been replaced as Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, with Dr. Mark Joffe taking on the role, effective Monday, November 14, 2022.
Joffe is the vice-president and medical director for Cancer Care Alberta, Clinical Support Services and Provincial Clinical Excellence for Alberta Health Services.
Joffe said he is honoured to take on the position.
