LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is advising residents to not attempt to go ice skating on local lakes.

The city says none of the four designated skating locations meet its standards for public skating.

The four locations where ice skating can be allowed are Henderson Lake, Legacy Park NW Lake, Legacy Park East Lake, and Nicholas Sheran Park.

In order for public ice skating to be allowed, the average ice thickness must be at least 12 inches.
