Lethbridge Police celebrating success of Charity Checkstop

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is thanking the public for supporting this year’s Charity Checkstop.

The third annual campaign was done in partnership with Christmas Hope, which is a collaboration of six non-profits including the Interfaith Food Bank, Lethbridge Food Bank, Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree, Volunteer Lethbridge, Salvation Army Toys for Tots, and My City Care Shop of Wonders.

During this year’s Charity Checkstop was held at the ENMAX Centre on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

A total of 490 gifts, 1,326 lbs of food, and $1,039 in cash was received.

LPS says in a media release, “On behalf of LPS and Christmas Hope, our heartfelt thanks to the community for their kindness and generosity.”

Donations are being accepted until December 23.
