Fort Macleod man arrested in connection to thefts from businesses

FORT MACLEOD, AB – RCMP has apprehended a man after businesses in Fort Macleod were robbed.

Between November 6 and December 1, 2022, Fort Macleod RCMP says it received several complaints of break and enters and thefts from local business owners.

RCMP, along with Canadian Pacific Railway (CP Rail) Police, investigated and found that a “significant amount” of steel had been stolen from the CP Rail property, as well as a local business.

Patrick William Jenkins, 46, of Fort Macleod, faces three counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and one count each of driving an uninsured motor vehicle and trespassing on rail property.
