Jamie Brown and Adam Revet named Kodiaks Athletes of the Week

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Players from the Lethbridge College Kodiaks men’s and women’s volleyball teams have been recognized for their efforts on the court.

As student-athletes prepare for the holiday break, Jamie Brown and Adam Revet have been named Kodiaks Athletes of the Week.

Jamie Brown is a fifth-year student-athlete in the Exercise Science program. She helped lead the Kodiaks women’s volleyball team to a 3-2 win against Briercrest on Friday, December 2, 2022. This victory was followed by a 3-0 win in a rematch against Briercrest on Saturday, December 3.

On Friday, the Fort Macleod player had 12 kills along with two aces. In Saturday’s game, she had 10 kills and 10 digs. Brown’s 22 kills over the two match-ups pushed her to the top of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) leaderboard for overall kills, with 136 so far this season.

Additionally, Brown is second in the conference in hitting percentage. The Kodiaks women’s volleyball team is in second place in the ACAC South Division.

Meanwhile, Adam Revet of the men’s volleyball team is a second-year player from North Battleford, Saskatchewan in the Multimedia Production program. On Friday, December 2, Revet helped lead the Kodiaks to a 3-1 win over Briercrest with 10 kills and a .526 hitting percentage.

He also had two assists and one block on the defensive side. On Saturday, December 3, the Kodiaks beat Briercrest 3-1. In that game, Revet had eight kills and recorded a .615 hitting percentage, along with four digs and one block. In the two weekend games, Revet had 18 kills and zero attacking errors. The Kodiaks men’s volleyball team sits in first place in the ACAC South Division.
