Cops, Pops and Pizza, a Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraiser – December 9

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) will be hosting the Cops, Pops and Pizza fundraiser at Boston Pizza South on December 9, 2022, to raise money for the Special Olympics. Officers will be serving pizza, collecting donations for the Special Olympics, and selling stuffed animals for the Touque & Teddy Toss at the ENMAX Centre. Cops, Pops and Pizza, Law Enforcement Torch Run takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boston Pizza South.

Lethbridge Hurricanes Toque & Teddy Toss – December 9

An annual holiday tradition is set to hit the ENMAX Centre on Friday. The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be welcoming back the 26th annual Toque & Teddy Toss during their match against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Fans are encouraged to bring along a stuffed animal or a toque wrapped in a plastic bag to toss onto the ice between periods. Tickets are still available for the Canadian Tire Toque & Teddy Toss Hurricanes game at 7:00 p.m. on December 9, 2022.

Lethbridge Handmade Market – December 10

The Lethbridge and District Exhibition welcomes over 120 artisans for its annual ‘Holi-Yay’ market. For one day only, take in all the holiday festivities and support local as this one-stop shop is sure to have something for everyone on your Christmas list. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, with admission tickets sold at the door.

Jingles Pop-Up Christmas Market – December 10

The Boys and Girls Club is hosting its very own Christmas Market this weekend. From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, community members can browse from over 40 vendors selling items like tumblers, clothing, jewelry and snacks. People stopping by can also enter to win a variety of door prizes.

Christmas at the Fort – December 10 and 11

Fort Whoop-Up is bringing back its annual holiday tradition this winter for two weekends only. Take in the history of the Fort while enjoying horse-drawn carriage rides, crafts, warm treats and Napi’s Santa Show, a Blackfoot song, dance and storytelling performance. Tickets for this all-ages event can be purchased online at the Fort Whoop-Up website.

Appreci-SKATE: Community Appreciation Skating – December 11

This Sunday, skating at the ATB Centre will be free from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for all community members. Making a guest appearance is Santa himself, as the big man in red will be taking pictures from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and giving out complimentary hot chocolate and treats. Non-perishable food items and cash donations will be accepted on behalf of the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen.

Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden – Multiple dates in December

From now until February 26, 2023, guests can wander through light and ice sculpture displays while learning about Japanese culture and traditions. Tickets are available Wednesday through Sunday, with additional passes available for the Kamakura [Igloo] Dome Experience or the Basha Nori [Horse and Wagon Rides].
