LETHBRIDGE, AB – Anticipate another busy weekend full of events in Lethbridge.

Lethbridge Hurricanes, Nickelodeon Night for Children’s Miracle Network – December 16

On Friday, get ready for a night of family fun at the ENMAX Centre. The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be facing off against the Kelowna Rockets at 7:00 p.m. and hosting the RE/MAX Presents Nickelodeon Night for Children’s Miracle Network. The Hurricanes will be hosting a PAW Patrol night featuring a number of fun activities for kids, like themed prizes, cheap tickets for little ones, and special jerseys, with proceeds being donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. To learn more about the event, check out the ENMAX Centre website. The Lethbridge Hurricanes also play the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre.

Holiday Traditions Around the World – December 16

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association and its group members are holding an event from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on December 16. On Friday, Holiday Traditions Around the World will include treats, performances and kids’ activities from around the globe. Admission is free, and kids will have a chance to take photos with Santa. Check it out at the Multicultural Centre on 421 6 Avenue South in Lethbridge.

Live Music & Open Mic by Train Wreck – December 16

On Friday night, head on down to Honkers Pub & Eatery for a night of live music. Starting at 8:00 p.m., all styles and abilities of musicians are welcome to take the stage and use the band gear supplied, but are asked to bring their own personal instrument and microphone. Honkers will be offering drink and food specials all night long and reservations are encouraged.

Blockbuster: New West Theatre – December 16 – 31

New West Theatre has gathered its ensemble cast to put on its final performance of 2022. Blockbuster is set to hit the stage for a number of dates at the Yates Memorial Centre from December 14 to 31, 2022. The troupe will perform songs and musical numbers from films, while incorporating sketch comedy. Tickets can be purchased directly on the New West Theatre website, the ENMAX Centre website, or at the Yates Memorial Centre box office.

Christmas at the Fort – December 17 and 18

Fort Whoop-Up is bringing back its annual holiday tradition for one more weekend this winter. Take in the history of the fort while enjoying horse-drawn carriage rides, crafts, warm treats and Napi’s Santa Show, a Blackfoot song, dance and storytelling performance. Tickets for this all-ages event can be purchased online at the Fort Whoop-Up website.

Christmas on the Farm: Lethbridge Corn Maze – Multiple dates in December

Check out the Lethbridge Corn Maze this weekend for a full-on holiday display at the farm. Enjoy Christmas lights, hayrides, bonfires, petting zoos, ziplines, a gift shop, and of course, a maze. The Corn Maze is open Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with some additional dates added throughout the month. Tickets can be purchased at the farm, and more information can be found on the Lethbridge Corn Maze website.

Christmas 1965: A Charlie Brown Christmas and Ventures Christmas Live – December 17

Check out the Owl Acoustic Lounge this weekend for a night of live holiday sounds straight out of the 60s. Enjoy the full album performances of both ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ and ‘The Ventures’ Christmas’ performed by local artists, TJ Waltho, Aaron Trozzo, Paul Holden, and Brad Brouwer. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday with tickets available online or at the door.

Unified Vibe 2022 Christmas Social – December 17

Looking to dance your heart out? Local DJs like Marty Funkhauser, DJ Fuze, Cricksta, Verboze and E3p0 will be jamming at The Onion Bar and Grill for one night only. They will be blending a mix of DnB, house, funk, and more for a full-on Christmas rave at this annual holiday social. Christmas attire is heavily encouraged at this 18-plus event and Bad Santa will even be swinging by for some pictures. Tickets can be purchased at the door as this party runs from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

3rd Annual Santa Claus Parade and Fireworks Show in Warner – December 17

If you’re looking to take a quick trip out of town, drive 40 minutes out of Lethbridge to get to Warner, as they host their 3rd Annual Santa Claus Parade and Fireworks Show. The public is welcome to head down to the Warner Fire Hall from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for a BBQ and pictures with Santa. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m. and will head down old Highway 4 and around the CoreAG and County of Warner buildings before heading back in front of the Viterra Elevators. Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden – Multiple dates in December

From now until February 26, 2023, guests can see light and ice sculpture displays while learning about Japanese culture and traditions at the Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge. Tickets are available Thursday through Sunday, with additional passes available for the Kamakura [Igloo] Dome Experience or the Basha Nori [Horse and Wagon Rides].
