Lethbridge Police searching for woman who went missing from hospital

LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE (2:40 p.m. Dec 21, 2022): Lethbridge Police confirms that Godfrey has been located safe. No further police actions are being taken.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing person.

They say Melanie Godfrey, 43, was last seen on Friday, December 16, 2022, when she left Chinook Regional Hospital on a day pass that allotted her three hours away.

Godfrey is described by police as a Caucasian woman, stands approximately 5’5″, weighs 57 kilograms, and has shoulder-length brown/blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a plaid white and black jacket on top of a white hoodie and dark-coloured pants.

Anyone with information about Godfrey’s whereabouts is asked to contact LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file #22027755.
