One person sent to hospital after North Lethbridge fire Monday night

LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE: On Wednesday, December 21, 2022, the City of Lethbridge issued an update on the residential structure fire.

Officials said that investigators have concluded their investigation and deemed the fire as accidental.

Firefighters in Lethbridge knocked down a residential blaze Monday evening.

At around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, four stations responded to a structure fire in the 2400 block of 20 Street North.

The blaze was extinguished about 90 minutes after crews arrived.

The City of Lethbridge noted that one person was rescued from the structure and was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital in critical condition. No other injuries were reported.

Damage from the fire is estimated at $500,000 and the incident is still under investigation.
