Two vehicles stolen from Taber recovered by RCMP

BROOKS, AB – RCMP says it seized a variety of stolen items following an arrest earlier this month.

On Friday, December 9, 2022, officers executed a search warrant at a business on 15 Avenue West in Brooks. RCMP claims to have located approximately $20,000 worth of stolen property in two storage lockers.

Near a home on the 200 block of Upland Boulevard in Brooks, RCMP says it also recovered two vehicles that had been reported stolen out of Taber.

Brooke Mintz, 28, of Brooks, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failure to comply with release order conditions.

Travis Seitz, 31, of Brooks, is charged with break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, and flight from police.

Brooks RCMP Constable Aaron Lagace says, β€œThe investigation is continuing, and we anticipate more charges being laid on this file. We will seek out those who intend on victimizing the residents of Brooks and hold them accountable for their actions.”

Following bail hearings, Mintz and Seitz were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court on December 21, 2022, and January 4, 2023, respectively.
