Lethbridge Police seizes $157K worth of drugs, largest fentanyl bust in downtown core
LETHBRIDGE, AB β The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says it has made the largest seizure of fentanyl in the history of the downtown core.
At approximately 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022, officers were patrolling the 300 block of 4 and 5 Street South after receiving multiple reports of fentanyl overdoses during the previous hour.
Police say they located a truck parked in an alley with its lights on and engine running.
βThe driver was found slumped over and when police checked on him, a significant quantity of methamphetamine was observed in his possession,β says LPS in a media release.
