Fort Macleod man charged in connection to stabbing

FORT MACLEOD, AB – A man remains in custody after an alleged stabbing.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Fort Macleod RCMP was called to a home on a report that a man had been stabbed numerous times.

Officers responded and found an injured man with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital in Lethbridge then flown to Calgary for treatment in serious condition. He remains in the Calgary facility.

Sterling Mikel White, 26, of Fort Macleod, faces one count of aggravated assault.

White has been remanded into custody and is set to appear in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on January 11, 2023.
