Missing Calgary man spotted in Taber

CALGARY, AB – UPDATE: The Taber Police Service and Calgary Police Service have confirmed that the missing senior from Calgary has been located.

The Calgary Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating a 74-year-old missing man.

Norman Dar was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2023, leaving his home in the southeast community of Lake Bonavista in Calgary.

Family, friends and police are concerned for Dar’s wellbeing as he suffers from medical conditions.

On the afternoon of January 4, 2023, Calgary Police confirmed a sighting of Dar in Taber.

It is believed he may be heading towards Lethbridge or Medicine Hat.

Dar is described as having a medium build, standing at 5’6”, a balding head, glasses and hearing aids.

Investigators also believe he may be driving a silver 2011 Kia Sportage.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Norman Dar is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234.
