Hurricanes reassign Bansley to Melville Millionaires

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have reassigned one of their players.

Zach Bansley, a 2005-born forward, has been sent to the Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

The 17-year-old was drafted by the Hurricanes in the eighth round (170th overall) in the 2020 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft. So far this season, Bansley has skated in 18 games with the Lethbridge team. He has collected an assist and two penalty minutes.

During the 2021-2022 season, the forward had 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 28 games with the Prince Albert Mintos of the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League.

Hurricanes general manager Peter Anholt stated, “We hope that Zach will go to Melville and have a really good second half and continue developing as a player so that he can be a contributor for our group in the future.”
