Nathan Barrett will be inducted into the ‘Player’ category. He played parts of four seasons with the Hurricanes from 1999 to 2002. With the club, he scored 147 goals and recorded 162 assists over 236 regular season games. Barrett led the Western Hockey League (WHL) in scoring with 107 points during the 2001-2002 season, which earned him the Bob Clarke Trophy. He also won the Harry Ingarfield Memorial Trophy as the Hurricanes Most Valuable Player for the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 seasons. The Vancouver player was drafted by his hometown Canucks 241st overall in the eighth round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 315 career professional games in the American Hockey League (AHL), East Coast Hockey League, and in Europe before retiring in 2008.

BOB LOUCKS

Bob Loucks will be inducted in the ‘Builder’ category. Loucks served as head coach of the Hurricanes for four seasons from 1989 to 1993. During his time as coach, the team qualified for the WHL Playoffs all four years. Loucks led the Hurricanes to back-to-back WHL Finals appearances in 1990 and 1991.

Loucks finished his Lethbridge coaching career with a regular season record of 168-105-15 in 288 games coached, good for a .583 winning percentage across four seasons. His 168 wins ranks him third all-time in the team’s history. Loucks was named the WHL East Division Coach of the Year in 1989-1990 and in 1990-1991. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the Canadian National Team in 1991.

MIKE MOLLER

Mike Moller is set to be inducted in the ‘Legend’ category. Moller suited up for the Lethbridge Broncos for three seasons from 1979 to 1982. Moller was named a WHL First Team All-Star in 1980-1981 and in 1981-1982. He was named the Brad Horning Memorial Trophy recipient as the WHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player for the 1981-1982 season.

Moller was a member of the 1982 Canadian National Junior Team that won the country’s first-ever gold medal at the World Junior Championship. He racked up 14 points in seven games. Moller was later drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (41st overall) of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He played 134 games in the NHL with the Sabres and Edmonton Oilers.

Moller also played in 287 career games in the AHL. His time in the AHL was highlighted by capturing the 1983 Calder Cup Championship with the Rochester Americans.
