LETHBRIDGE, AB – Trial dates have been set for three men facing charges relating to the Coutts border blockade in 2022.

Marco Van Huigenbos and Alex Van Herk of Fort Macleod, and Gerhard Janzen of Taber are all charged with mischief over $5,000.

The judge and jury trial will be held in Lethbridge Court of King’s Bench and is set to start on April 2, 2024.

Justice Joanna Kubik suggests between now and then, work should be done with case management to pin down the exact number of days this trial will take and whether it needs the full three weeks.

If found guilty, the men could face a maximum of 10 years in prison.
