Three Lethbridge Hurricanes players make NHL Central Scouting list

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The National Hockey League (NHL) has its eyes of a trio of players with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The NHL has released its 2022-23 NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term Rankings, which includes 51 members of the Western Hockey League.

Regina Pats captain Connor Bedard tops the list and is the number-one rated North American skater.

Bedard was named the MVP in Team Canada’s gold medal-winning effort at the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship.

The scouting list also includes Lethbridge Hurricanes defenseman Noah Chadwick (147), forward Logan Wormald (160), and goalie Harrison Meneghin (27).

Chadwick is ranked a “C” skater by Central Scouting on the Preliminary Players to Watch List. In 39 games so far this season, he has registered 10 points (3g-7a) with the Hurricanes.

Wormald is also ranked a “C” skater by Central Scouting. He totaled 30 points (15g-15a) this season and is currently tied for the team lead in goals.

Meneghin was unranked by Central Scouting, but had a strong first year in the WHL. Appearing in 28 games this season, he has posted an 18-8-0-1 record with a 2.71 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a five-game home stand on Friday, January 13, 2023, when they welcome the Prince George Cougars to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00 p.m.
