LETHBRIDGE, AB – Watch out Southern Alberta, there’s another jam-packed weekend of events coming your way.

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival at Yates Memorial Theatre – January 13-14

This weekend, the Yates Memorial Theatre hosts the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival. Each year, over 400 entries are submitted to the festival. Selected filmmakers and authors travel the globe to share their stories. Each evening, guests can watch several award-winning short films. Tickets can be purchased through the Lethbridge Public Library.

Ben Bauce at Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club – January 13-14

An Albertan comedian take the stage this weekend to showcase his quick wit at the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club. Ben Bauce will share stories about his large family, pre-teen daughter, and blue-collar upbringing on Friday and Saturday night. Those interested in purchasing tickets can find them online at the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club website.

Lethbridge RV Show at Exhibition Park – January 13-15

Lethbridge and area residents can check out Southern Alberta’s largest RV show and sale. Numerous 2023 trailers and RVs will be stationed at Exhibition Park in Lethbridge over the weekend, with several vendors catered towards all things camping. Admission is free, but donations to the Lethbridge Food Bank are accepted. For more information, check out the Lethbridge RV Show Facebook page.

Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre– January 13-15

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are playing back-to-back home games this weekend. On Friday, they’ll be taking on the Prince George Cougars. On Saturday, they’ll face off against the Red Deer Rebels. Both games are at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre. On Sunday, Lethbridge will be heading up to the Scotiabank Saddledome at 4:00 p.m. to take on the Calgary Hitmen. Tickets to these games can be found on the Lethbridge Hurricanes website.

Festival Square Ice Rink – Open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Looking to hit the ice this January? Festival Square’s free outdoor ice rink is still open every day in the new year. Community members are encouraged to come out, strap on their skates and follow the rules of the rink. Helmets and protective gear are strongly recommended.

Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden – Multiple dates in January

From now until February 26, 2023, guests can see light and ice sculpture displays while learning about Japanese culture and traditions at the Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge. Tickets are available Thursday through Sunday, with additional passes available for the Kamakura [Igloo] Dome Experience or the Basha Nori [Horse and Wagon Rides].
