Lethbridge Home & Garden Show skips 2023, planning for 2024

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The annual Home & Garden Show hosted at Exhibition Park will not be returning to Lethbridge in 2023.

Instead, organizers promise to bring the home builder presentation back in 2024 “bigger and better” than ever.

While the show has been hosted in Southern Alberta for more than four decades, BILD Lethbridge Region plans to take the show in a new and fresh direction.

Bridget Mearns, Executive Officer of BILD Lethbridge Region said in a release, “After great deliberation it has been decided we will not produce the Home & Garden Show in 2023. This decision was not made lightly. We know what this show means for businesses and for the citizens of Southern Alberta.”

“This will allow us to properly plan and produce the 2024 Home & Garden Show to the highest standards that our vendors, partners and guests deserve,” added Mearns.

For the next up and coming Home & Garden Show, BILD has hired Meibel Consulting to help assist in executing the event, which is set to be hosted in the new Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre.

Meibel Consulting are owners and producers of shows like the Alberta Food & Beverage Expo, the Saskatchewan Food & Beverage Expo and Game Con Canada.

In 2024, organizers plan to put a heavy focus on customer service, innovative technology and expanding return on investment opportunities.

Dave Kunst, BILD Lethbridge Region President, explained, “We are looking forward to working closely with Meibel Consulting in executing a Home & Garden Show that provides great benefit to the Exhibitors and fantastic experience for the attendees.”

Kunst continued, “Again, we know not having a show in 2023 is disappointing, but we are confident that what we produce in Home & Garden 2024 will be worth waiting for.”

Once the new Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre is open, the Home & Garden Show will be able to host more customers and vendors.
