
ALERT and Lethbridge Police make $1 million drug bust, largest since 2017
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) have released more information on what is described as one of the city’s largest drug busts in history.
Officials say that an estimated street value over one-million dollars’ worth of drugs was seized on December 20, 2022, after first responders searched two residences and two vehicles.
ALERT says search warrants resulted in paraphernalia being found in one home in the London Road area in South Lethbridge and in a northside garage in the neighbourhood of Winston Churchill.
The drugs seized include 5.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3.2 kilograms of cocaine, 1.6 kilograms of fentanyl powder, 418 grams of ketamine, and 35 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
