LETHBRIDGE, AB – Select Indigo-branded ceramics products are being recalled due to potential mould growth on the surface of several items.

According to Health Canada, affected products may have been subject to humid conditions, resulting in the possibility of mould being present under the glazed surface.

The products include ceramic mugs, mug ornaments and various houseware products ranging in design, colour and size.

Indigo reports that 21,980 units of the affected products were sold across Canada between August and December 2022.

Consumers are asked to immediately stop using the recalled products, and return them to an Indigo store for a full refund.

Mould ingestion may pose a risk of gastrointestinal symptoms and infections in consumers with compromised immune systems.

As of January 30, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

To see the full list of affected products check out the Health Canada website or the Chapters/Indigo website.
