Lethbridge Lightning charity game raises over $4,500 for Jack Ady Cancer Centre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Lightning came out on top in the Badges vs. Bolts game.

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, the Ranchland Hockey League (RHL) team faced off against first responders in the second annual charity hockey match.

While a close game throughout, the Bolts were able to take the 7-6 win in a shootout against the Badges.

Regardless of the outcome, fans were elated to cheer on both teams as the game helped collect funds for the Jack Ady Cancer Centre in Lethbridge.

A portion of ticket sales were donated to the centre, with a live auction also raising money during the first intermission of the game.

After tallying the total, the Lethbridge Lighting will be donating $4,595 to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre.

The first Badges vs. Bolts game in 2022 raised just over $1,200.

The RHL is comprised of four teams based in southern Alberta. These teams include the Lethbridge Lightning, Fort Macleod Mustangs, Nanton Palominos, and the Siksika Buffaloes.
