Crews conduct water rescue at Park Lake

COALHURST, AB – Firefighters were called out to Park Lake over the weekend.

The Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department said on Saturday, February 18, 2023, just hours after members from Coalhurst, Nobleford and Vulcan County completed their training and certification in ice rescue, they were called to Park Lake.

The department said it received a call that a vehicle had gone through the ice at the lake. Officials said a patient was located and taken to shore for medical treatment. Picture Butte Emergency Services and Coaldale & District Emergency Services assisted with the call.
