Milk River Health Centre Emergency Department temporarily closing

MILK RIVER, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has announced a temporary closure of the emergency department at the Milk River Health Centre.

AHS says the closures are due to a lack of physician coverage.

It will be in effect from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, to 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023.

During the closure period, 911 calls in Milk River will be redirected to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, which is 87 kilometres away, or the Raymond Health Centre, located 60 kilometres away.
