LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s finally the weekend in Lethbridge and there are quite a few events planned over the next few days.

Longhorns Baseball Fundraiser at The Place – March 10, 2023

The Longhorns Baseball Academy will host a fundraiser on Friday, March 10 starting at 7:00 p.m. at The Place. Rock n’ Roll Dance Band, The Chevelles will be playing all night long to help raise money for the Lethbridge High School Academy Longhorns. There will also be 50/50 tickets, a silent auction and other games throughout the evening. Tickets can be found at Eventbrite or purchased at the door.

‘Oz With a Twist’ presented by G.S Lakie Middle School – March 10

The Fine Arts Department at G.S Lakie Middle School is set to present ‘Oz with a Twist’ for one more night at the Yates Memorial Theatre. School officials say more than 200 students are involved in the production, which will take place on Friday, March 10. For more information, visit the G.S Lakie website.

Lethbridge Hurricanes at the ENMAX Centre – March 10

The Lethbridge Hurricanes play on home ice this Friday, March 10. The Hurricanes will go head-to-head with the Regina Pats starting at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre. Tickets for the game sold out earlier this week.

Blackfoot Women’s Empowerment Conference at the University of Lethbridge – March 11

Blackfoot Women’s Empowerment is set to host a one-day conference at Markin Hall at the University of Lethbridge on Saturday, March 11. Coming off International Women’s Day this week, this is the second-ever empowerment conference where Blackfoot women have an opportunity to connect, laugh and gather. Special guests include Ashley Calling Bull, Dr. Pearl Yellow Old Woman-Healy, Trisha Bromley-Wadsworth, and many more. Tickets for the event can be found on Eventbrite.

‘Heating Up the Prairies’ at Lethbridge & District Exhibition – March 11

Beyond Hot, Lethbridge’s local hot sauce store, will host a one-day event called ‘Heating Up the Prairies’ at Exhibition Park on Saturday, March 11. Patrons can shop from small-batch crafters, enjoy hot sauce tastings and partake in a variety of hot sauce challenges. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday in the South Pavillion.

Geordie Kieffer Red Lines Tour at the ENMAX Centre – March 11

Geordie Kieffer is on his first Canadian tour and he will be coming to Lethbridge on March 11. Kieffer is known for viral songs like Red Line, Swinger and ICON KILLER. He, will play at the ENMAX Centre starting at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kieffer has sold out shows in Calgary and Vancouver so far on his tour, and tickets are still available for this weekend’s 18+ show. Tickets can be purchased on Tixr.

Wildlife Festival at Lethbridge & District Exhibition – March 10-12

Get up close and personal with sloths, snakes, sugar gliders, pigs, wallabies and more at The Wildlife Festival in Lethbridge for one weekend only. Cobbs Adventure Park and Reptile Parties Inc. from Calgary will bring exotic animals to Exhibition Park in Lethbridge from Friday, March 10 to Sunday, March 12, 2023. Proceeds from ticket sales go toward supporting both organizations in their rescue efforts, outreach and education programming. Lethbridge Oscar Party at Pure Casino Lethbridge – March 12

Walk the red carpet and rock the 95th Oscars in style in Lethbridge on Sunday, March 12 at the Social Room at Pure Casino Lethbridge. On top of watching the stars on the big screen, guests attending the party can mark off a prediction ballot to see who will take home awards like Best Actor/Actress, Best Picture, and Best Original Song to win cash prizes. Half of the ticket sales will go towards the prediction pool, and the other half will support the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. Addams Family Musical Comedy at Catholic Central High School – March 10-18

Catholic Central High School (CCH) will put on the Addams Family Musical Comedy with multiple dates throughout March. The performance follows the character Wednesday Addams as she falls in love with a normal young man, and how her outrageous family deals with the news. Tickets for the show are available on the CCH website.

Alberta Genealogical Society – Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

The Lethbridge branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society opens its resource centre to the public from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Community members are encouraged to come out and learn more about their history and try to trace their family trees.
