Lethbridge Police searching for suspect in connection to bank robbery

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said it is asking for the public’s help to find a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery at a business.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, police say an unknown man entered the CIBC branch on the 500 block of 13 Street North.
The suspect allegedly approached a clerk and demanded money while brandishing a handgun. An undisclosed amount of cash was given to the suspect before he reportedly fled.
LPS said there are no reports of injuries.
The suspect is described by police as a “heavier set male” between 5’8″ and 5’10”. He was seen wearing a blue medical mask, black sunglasses, and a dark green hoodie with the hood pulled over his head.
