Lethbridge Police looking to return lost cash to rightful owner

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said it is hoping to identify the owner of a “large sum” of cash.
On January 16, 2023, police say a resident found a bag containing a “significant quantity” of money, along with other property, on the 2800 block of Parkside Drive South.
LPS said there were no identification documents and that attempts to locate the owner have been unsuccessful so far.
The police service said in a news release, “In order to claim the money and property, proof of ownership is required. The rightful owner will need to confirm the exact amount of cash and provide a description of the bag and the other property it contained.”
