$150,000 worth of drugs seized by Lethbridge Police

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said it has made a significant drug bust.

On March 23, 2023, officers arrested a man in connection to alleged drug trafficking offences following a weeks-long investigation.

Following a search of a home in north Lethbridge, LPS said it confiscated 625 grams of fentanyl, nearly 400 grams of cocaine, narcotic medications, more than $3,100 in cash, and a vehicle.

According to the police service, the drugs are said to have a combined street value of nearly $150,000.

Dehandre Mabior Sayed, 19, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.

He remains in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
