Death of man in southern Alberta deemed homicide, police searching for suspect

WILLOW CREEK, AB – The Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) and Fort Macleod RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who is wanted in connection to a man’s death.

At approximately 10:19 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, officers were called to a report of blood on the Healy Bridge, located on Highway 511 near Willow Creek.

A deceased person was located nearby.

Following the completion of an autopsy on March 28, 2023, the deceased person was identified as a 32-year-old man from Lethbridge. His death has been deemed a homicide.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes unit is continuing to investigate. Officials are asking anyone who has dash camera footage of Highway 511 near the Healy Bridge on March 25, 2023, between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m to send it to them.
