RCMP investigating homicide near Okotoks

OKOTOKS, AB – The RCMP said it is searching for a suspect in connection to a homicide in southern Alberta.

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, officers responded to a report of found human remains by the intersection of Highway 522 and 128 Street East near Okotoks.

The RCMP Serious Crimes Unit and Calgary Police Service have taken over carriage of the investigation. Both forces say they are treating the case as a homicide.

The deceased has been identified as a 37-year-old woman from Calgary.

Police are looking to speak with asking anyone who saw anything suspicious near Highway 522 and 128 Street between 12:00 p.m. on March 29, 2023, and 5:00 p.m. on March 30, 2023.
