LETHBRIDGE, AB – Watch out Southern Alberta, there’s another jam-packed weekend of events coming your way as we head into Easter weekend.

Green Shirt Day – April 7

The Canada-wide Green Shirt Day was created to remember the victims and families of the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash in Saskatchewan in 2018. It also carries on Lethbridge’s Logan Boulet’s legacy by inspiring Canadians to register as organ donors and to talk to their families about their wishes. People across the country are encouraged to wear green on Friday and have important conversations about organ or tissue donation. On April 7, Lethbridge residents can also take part in a free skate from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Logan Boulet Arena. Learn more on the Green Shirt Day website.

Cory Mack at Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club – April 7

The Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club will present Cory Mack on Friday, April 7. Hailing from Saskatchewan, Mack has toured Canada from coast to coast for four decades. She was also instrumental in curating the annual YYComedy Festival in Calgary from 2012 to 2019. For tickets to Friday’s show, check out the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club website.

Soundscape Walking Tour at the Galt Museum & Archives – April 7

Take part in a guided exploration that highlights both internal and external soundscapes in Lethbridge as part of the Politics of Sound exhibition. On Friday, April 7, participants will activate new listening practices using two of the exhibition’s interactive artworks, Jessica Thompson’s Walking Machine and Adam Basanta’s Plugs. Easter Scavenger Hunt at the Cor Van Raay YMCA – April 8

The Cor Van Raay YMCA will host a free Easter Scavenger Hunt from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for children of all ages on Saturday, April 8. Families will be given a scavenger hunt worksheet and tasked to find 12 items throughout the upper and lower galleries. Those who complete the list will be given an Easter-themed reward. According to the YMCA, the Easter Bunny will also be making a guest appearance for photo opportunities.

Ol’ Ben and Friends at The Slice Bar and Grill –April 8

If you’re looking to jam out to some live music this easter weekend, look no further. Lethbridge singer-songwriter Ol’ Ben will hit the stage at The Slice Bar and Grill on Saturday. Other artists joining him include James Swinney, Paula Neu and Zach Passey. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door.

Kick It Saturday at The Onion Bar & Grill – April 8

The Onion Bar and Grill is set to become a massive dance floor on Saturday night, as Unified Vibe Production hosts an EDM show. From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., several DJs will hop on deck to play a mix of drum and bass, techno, house and dubstep. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door for $15.

Easter Sunday Breakfast at City Light Church – April 9

While there will be many Easter Services happening over the weekend at several churches, City Light Church is welcoming families to take part in their free Easter family breakfast. Starting at 9:30 a.m., staff will be serving pancakes with several kids’ activities for children of all ages. For information can be found on the City Light Church Facebook page.
