Tim & The Glory Boys and Yates Memorial Theatre – April 17, 2023

Tim & The Glory Boys will bring The Hometown Hoedown Tour to the Yates Memorial Theatre on Monday night. The Barn Burning’ Banjo Bash will hit the stage at 7:00 p.m. and have people moving and grooving in their seats as they perform country hits like, ‘When You Know You Know’, ‘Me Without You’, and ‘Float’. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the ENMAX Centre website.

Lethbridge Career Fair at Lethbridge & District Exhibition – April 18

On Tuesday, community members looking to score a job in Lethbridge can meet face-to-face Alberta’s Hiring Companies and Training Institutions. The Career Fair connects people with Lethbridge specialists in employment, career development, entrepreneurship, training and continued education. The event is free and runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition.

No Way Out: Quaint, Quirky & Queer Festival – April 18 – 22

The Quaint, Quirky & Queer Festival will continue its 10th anniversary celebration at Didi’s Playhaus this week with a feature presentation of No Way Out. A theatrical performance that looks to push the boundaries of what improvisational theatre can be as the tragicomedy tells a different story of the same family over the years. No Way Out runs from April 18 to 22 with each show starting at 7:30 p.m., tickets can be purchased at the Theatre Outre website.

Northcote at the Old Firehall Lethbridge – April 19

Saskatchewan-born singer-songwriter Northcote will be coming to Lethbridge this week for an intimate show at the Old Firehall Lethbridge. Matt Gourd will bring his blend of americana folk, indie rock, post-hardcore, and devotional music to town on Wednesday, April 19. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased on Showpass.

Gaslighter – Songs of The Dixie Chicks – April 20

Gaslighter will be heading to the Yates Memorial Theatre on Thursday, April 20 to play The Chicks’ (The Dixie Chicks’) most iconic songs. The tribute band, made up of Juno award winner Shannon Saunders, Tracy Masson and Emily Ashcroft, will be backed by a live band as they play classics like ‘Goodbye Earl’, ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’, ‘Wide Open Spaces’ and ‘Not Ready to Make Nice’. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the ENMAX Centre website.

Destination Lethbridge Community Art Event and film screening – April 21

StrudelBrand and Under The Bridge YQL, in partnership with ROVÜ, are inviting the community to join their free public event at the CASA Community Room on April 21. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., attendees will learn about public art and gain insight into some installations’ creative processes. The film highlights existing works in Lethbridge, local creatives and the future potential for art in Lethbridge. Learn more about the event on the StrudelBrand website.

Playgoers of Lethbridge presents A Taste of the Arts Festival – April 21 & 22

The Playgoers of Lethbridge are celebrating their 100th anniversary on Friday and Saturday with its Taste of the Arts Festival. The free event welcomes people of all ages to enjoy local dance, music and theatre performances at the Yates Memorial Centre. The entire program can be found at the Playgoers of Lethbridge website.

PPW Powerversary 12: Windy City Showdown – April 22

Pure Power Wrestling (PPW) is celebrating 12 years of entertainment at the ENMAX Centre on Saturday, April 22. Starting at 6:00 p.m., the Windy City Showdown will feature all the stars of PPW plus former ECW and WWE superstar, “The Manbeast” RHINO. Tickets for this event can be found online at the ENMAX Centre website.
