Start of spring maintenance delayed in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is notifying residents that cooler temperatures at the start of the spring season have delayed the start of some Parks & Cemeteries operations.
Irrigation startup and spring maintenance have been delayed by a few weeks. Officials noted that when warmer weather continues consistently, operations can resume as normal.
Additionally, the City of Lethbridge said park users will see longer watering periods at Legacy Park due to ongoing irrigation issues. A full irrigation cycle at the park is now taking up to three times longer than normal, resulting in a watering window of 18-plus hours. The Park & Cemeteries irrigation department will focus on watering less used areas during peak park hours.
