Environment Canada issues wind warning in southeastern Alberta

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Strong winds are set to impact a majority of southeastern Alberta.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning that may cause damage this evening, April 26, 2023, in the areas of Medicine Hat, Brooks, Drumheller and Red Deer.

Wind gusts of 75 to 90 km/h will develop overnight but are set to diminish by Thursday morning.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur and loose objects may be tossed causing injury or damage.

Motorists are asked to adjust their driving to changing road conditions due to high winds.
