Lethbridge crews respond to three separate incidents in one day

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Emergency crews were kept busy over the weekend in Lethbridge.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, crews responded to three incidents.

At around 1:45 p.m., responders from two stations tended to a vehicle fire on the north side of the city. Officials note the fire was extinguished quickly with no extension to any surrounding buildings. No injuries were reported.

At 3:30 p.m., fire and EMS crews responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision involving the Servus Sports Centre. The City of Lethbridge said a car had collided with the building, which caused moderate damage to the facility. No injuries were reported.

The third incident occurred at 4:30 p.m., fire crews, including HAZMAT technicians, from two stations responded to a small fuel leak from a pickup truck on the south end of Lethbridge. Responders were able to mitigate the situation with minimal involvement to the environment. No injuries were reported.
