LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) said it has confiscated approximately $20,000 worth of drugs and laid charges against two suspects.

On April 25, 2023, ALERT, with assistance from the Lethbridge Police Service, conducted a search warrant on a home in the Glendale neighbourhood on the south side.

Officers say they seized 131.2 grams of methamphetamine, 52 grams of cocaine, 350 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, one gram of fentanyl, 70 packets of black market cigarettes, $1,245 in cash, a taser, two replica firearms, and numerous rounds of ammunition.

ALERT Lethbridge Staff Sgt. Trevor Sheppard said, “We had reason to believe that these two people were selling drugs out of their home. Anytime we are able to take drugs off our streets is a win for residents in the neighbourhood, as well as the community.”

James Gladden, 29, of Lethbridge, faces of variety of charges relating to the possession of illicit drugs, as well as unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Adam Sebok, 29, of Lethbridge, faces similar trafficking-related charges.

Both suspects have been released from custody on multiple conditions as they await their next court dates.

Anyone who suspects drug or gang activities in their community is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or their local police.
