Four people charged after Lethbridge Police seize over $40,000 worth of drugs
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Four people have been charged by police in Lethbridge after officers reported seizing more than $40,000 worth of drugs.
According to the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS), the Alberta Sheriffs Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit was investigating in the city on May 3, 2023, when members spotted suspects allegedly “engaged in drug trafficking activities”.
Subsequently, members of the LPS Downtown Policing Unit, K9 and Patrols arrested three men and one woman in the area of Stafford Drive and St. Edwards Boulevard North. Police noted that a search of the suspects and their vehicles resulted in the seizure of roughly 222 grams of fentanyl, 46 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of cocaine, $7,000 in cash, and an SUV valued at $30,000.
The LPS said the total street value of the seized drugs is just over $42,100.
