Mother’s Day flowers program returns to Lethbridge in 2023

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A special initiative for Mother’s Day returns to Lethbridge this weekend.
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, staff with the City of Lethbridge Parks and Cemeteries department will offer flowers to cemetery visitors. Roses will be available to the first 300 visitors and can be picked up beside the Mountain View Cemetery office, located at 1210 Scenic Drive South.
Roses can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until they are gone.
The cemeteries staff first started offering flowers on Mother’s and Father’s Day in 2018. The program continued in 2019 and 2022. Staff had to pause the initiative in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
