Registration open for LPS Run for Special Olympics

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Registration is now open to take part in the 2023 Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) Run for Special Olympics.

The 11th annual event will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023 starting at 8 a.m., with half marathon, 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer options available for walkers, joggers and runners.

The meeting point is the Sandman Signature Hotel (320 Scenic Drive South) in Lethbridge.

Participants will receive a race shirt, medal and there will be prizes for the top runners in each distance.

Family and friends are also encouraged to cheer on the contestants at the finish line at the police range in the river valley.

The LPS is looking for volunteers to help along the routes. Anyone looking to sign up as a participant or volunteer can do so at lpsrun.ca.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics.
