LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service remains on the scene in a high-risk investigation.

This morning, police directed people to avoid the area in the 1700 block of 16 Avenue South.

As of 8:52 a.m., LPS indicated that residents may resume regular use of the area.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is currently conducting a high-risk investigation.

Just after 7:00 a.m. on June 9, 2023, police sent out a release indicating they were on scene in the 1700 block of 16 Avenue South.

At this time details are limited, but officers are asking the public to avoid the area.

According to LNN reporter on scene, Justin Goulet, the Explosive Disposal Unit and Tactical Unit are parked in front of a home on 17 Street South.
