Lethbridge Police seeking stabbing suspect

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said it is searching for a suspect who is wanted in connection to an aggravated assault.

At approximately 1:37 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, LPS said members responded to a report of a physical altercation on the 400 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South.

A second call was received shortly after, as the caller reported that an injured man entered a nearby business, seeking assistance. Upon arrival, police located a 38-year-old man who had sustained stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

LPS said the victim was injured following a physical altercation between himself and an unknown man.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the suspect’s identity and locate him.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous man between the ages of 20 and 25 with short hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a grey sweater, black shorts, and black and white shoes.
