City of Lethbridge to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge has announced its plans to mark National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, 2023.

An opening ceremony will take place at the flag poles outside of Lethbridge City Hall at 10:00 a.m., with all members of the community invited to attend and hear from officials and local organizations.

The Lethbridge Public Library has a full slate of events for the day, including a photo scavenger hunt, crafts, and free Indigenous tacos for lunch. More information is available at the library website.

Fort Whoop-Up will host the grand opening of its new Blackfoot Gallery. Attendees from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. can enjoy crafts, various vendors, and food trucks.
