LETHBRIDGE, AB – The new expansion to Lethbridge & District Exhibition is set to open shortly.

Officials confirm that the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre will welcome the public into its landmark facility this summer.

Lethbridge & District Exhibition also announced a naming rights agreement with MNP. One of the four meeting rooms will be named The MNP Meeting Centre.

MNP Regional Managing Partner David Muryn said it is an honour to have their name associated with a facility like the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre.

“Making this investment was a natural fit for us — it aligns with our goal to showcase Lethbridge and Southern Alberta’s vital contributions to the food and agriculture world,” said Muryn.

Exhibition CEO Mike Warkentin adds that partners like MNP make it possible for the facility to showcase the true agricultural potential of southern Alberta.

Construction on the 268,000 square foot building first broke ground in March 2021 and is estimated to cost nearly $80 million.

The Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre has the capacity to hold up to 10,000 people at a time and will feature banquet halls, meeting rooms, a kitchen that can service upwards of 1,500 people, a trade hall that can be sectioned off into four parts, and a public patio across from Henderson Lake.

One of the first major events to be held in the new trade centre is Whoop-Up Days, which is set to run from August 22-26, 2023.

Admission to the fair is free this year.
