National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21
National Aboriginal Day, now National Indigenous Peoples Day, was announced in 1996 by then-Governor General of Canada, Roméo LeBlanc, through a proclamation, declaring June 21 of each year as National Aboriginal Day. As a way to remember and honour those who have come before, Fort Whoop-Up will be hosting a variety of activities from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to check out a brand-new Blackfoot Gallery along with other Indigenous crafts, vendors and food trucks.
