Cougar sighting reported in Pavan Park

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge have advised the public of a cougar sighting in the city.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) noted that on Friday, June 23, 2023, at around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of a sighting of the animal in the upper coulees of Pavan Park.

Police said the animal was not located. However, the public is asked to stay away from the area.

Residents are asked to report any cougar sightings to Lethbridge Police are 403-328-4444.
