LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s shaping up to be another jam-packed weekend and Lethbridge News Now has you covered for all things happening around town.

Jumpstart Fundraising BBQ at Canadian Tire North – June 23

Canadian Tire North will host its annual Jumpstart BBQ on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot. The fundraiser helps Lethbridge children participate in sport activities that they might not otherwise be able to afford. The lunch deal costs $5 and comes with a drink, chips and burger or hot dog.

Lethbridge Bulls vs Regina Red Sox – June 23

The Lethbridge Bulls are coming off a 5-1-win Thursday night against the Regina Red Sox, and they look to sweep the two-game series Friday night at Spitz Stadium. June 23, 2023 marks the Gas King Family Friday, which provides families of four with an extra deal that includes a basket of fries and a $10 Gas King gift card. More information and how to get tickets can be found online at the Lethbridge Bulls website. This weekend, the Bulls will also host the Weyburn Beavers on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25.

Family Fest at Crossings Lethbridge – June 23 – 24

Families in west Lethbridge have a chance to take part in Family Fest on Friday and Saturday. Crossings Lethbridge will host a free event over the weekend that includes bouncy castles and obstacle courses, outdoor games, live music and a dog adoption from the Windy City Canine Rescue. The party in the parking lot will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and a free skate at the Cavendish Arena East Rink will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the evening. On Saturday, an outdoor movie screening of ‘The Super Mario Bros Movie’ will be held at Crossings Park, along Caledonia Blvd W. The show starts after sunset at 10:00 p.m. and people are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.

ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival – June 23 – 25

The 2023 Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival is at Henderson Lake this weekend. Dragon boaters from across Western Canada will be in Lethbridge for three days of fun competition on the water, along with entertainment and food. This year, over 1,200 people will be participating, with the help of over 200 volunteers. Organizers said more volunteers are needed. Pride Parade and 15th Annual Pride in The Park – June 24

The Lethbridge Pride Fest will celebrate its 15th anniversary this weekend in Galt Gardens. Kicking things off on Saturday is the Pride Parade. It will start behind the Civic Ice Centre at 11:00 a.m. as spectators march down Stafford Drive before arriving in Downtown Lethbridge. After the parade, people can join Pride in the Park from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which will feature food vendors, a marketplace, activities for all ages and a beer garden. Wing Ding 2023 by Streets Alive Mission – June 24

From 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, Streets Alive Mission will be offering residents a free festival of family fun at Nicholas Sheran Park. Activities include throwing a pie in someone’s face, making cotton candy, and taking part in the Wing Ding Wing Challenge, sponsored by Save-on-Foods. Coalhurst First Responders Society 3rd Annual Golf Tournament – June 24

The Coalhurst First Responders Society (CFRS) holds its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at the Land-O-Lakes Golf Course in Coaldale on Saturday, June 24, 2023. All proceeds from the event are used to support the residents of Coalhurst and the surrounding area. In the past year, organizers were able to donate several Christmas food hampers to families in need, as well as host an open house visit with Santa. Green n Yellow Group: Polar Plunge – June 24

The Green n Yellow Group is back with another fundraiser helping Can Praxis, the leading Equine-Assisted Therapy provider for veteran and first responder communities. The dip takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and food will be supplied to those who take the plunge on Saturday, June 24 at 852 Heritage Blvd. West. Lethbridge Farmers’ Market at Lethbridge & District Exhibition – Every Saturday

Head on over to Lethbridge & District Exhibition this weekend to check out the region’s best produce, baked goods, homemade crafts and more. The Lethbridge Farmers’ Market is free to attend and runs every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until October 14, 2023. Last year, it’s estimated that nearly 57,000 people attended the market on the exhibition grounds.
