Foodie Fest at Galt Gardens – June 27

The Downtown Lethbridge BRZ is set to host another edition of Foodie Fest this week. On Tuesday, June 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., several food trucks will be parked in Galt Gardens. Participating downtown restaurants will also be offering free samples and local businesses will stay open late for people to take part in some evening shopping.

Pro-Amateur Comedy Night (Open Mic Comedy) at Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club – June 28

The Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club will host its Pro-Amateur Night on Wednesday, June 28. Professional comics will test out new material, and newer performers can try their hand at stand-up comedy. Those looking to sign up for a guest spot, or grab tickets to the show, can do so online at the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club website.

Owl Poetry at the Owl Acoustic Lounge – June 28

On Wednesday, June 28, the public can drop in at the Owl Acoustic Lounge from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for an open mic poetry reading. This event helps to showcase local talents and is hosted by Teri Petz. Admission to Owl Poetry is free and open to all ages.

The Taming of the Shrew at Festival Square June 28 + 29

The Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society will put on a special sneak preview of its show, The Taming of the Shrew, in Festival Square on June 28 and 29. Each of the previews will kick off at 7:00 p.m. downtown, with the real shows to start in Galt Gardens on July 7.

Dan Duvall at Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club – June 29 + 30

The Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club will present Dan Duvall for two nights this week. The B.C.-based comedian has been preforming across Canada and the United States and is set to bring his show to Lethbridge on June 29 and 30. Duvall’s work as a professional comedic writer has also appeared on Cartoon Network Canada and Adult Swim. Tickets for both shows are on sale now at the Good Time Comedy Club website.

121st Raymond Stampede – June 29 to July 1

Entering its 121st anniversary, the historic Raymond Stampede will be returning to the long-standing grandstand one last final time before it moves to its new location in 2024. The Raymond Stampede was the first pro-rodeo in Canada back in 1977, and the traditional events will continue for another three nights in its original location. Yoga and Tai Chi at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden – Every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday

The Canadian Yoga Institute began its Tai Chi and Yoga classes at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden this month. Flow Yoga will take place every Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m., while Yoga for Wellness will start at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. every Saturday, people can take part in short-form Yang Style Tai Chi. Drop-in passes can be purchased on the day of the event, or you can register through the Canadian Yoga Institue. More information can be found online.

Summer Sunset at CASA – June 30

CASA will play host to an +18 plus Canada Day kickoff event on Friday night. Summer Sunset will feature live house and techno DJs from Calgary and Lethbridge, with food and drink available on-site. The EDM show will start at 6:00 p.m. and run until late, with an after-party scheduled at Hudsons Canada’s Pub. Queer Variety Night at The Slice Bar and Grill – June 30

The Lethbridge Pride Fest will put on a Queer Variety Night on Friday at The Slice Bar and Grill. The adults-only event will welcome artists like Dana Demento, Dick Goblin, Sophie Wright, Poppy, and David They to the stage for one night only. Pride Fest indicates that Queer Variety Night is more than an entertaining event but is a significant way to bring the community together to celebrate diversity, acceptance, and love. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door or online at Eventbrite.

Tina: Simply The Best – June 30

A spectacular tribute to Tina Turner will hit the stage at the Yates Memorial Theatre on Friday. The full-stage production is packed with her hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The powerful vocals of Caroline Borole will rock the stage in Lethbridge for one night only. Tickets for the concert can be purchased on the ENMAX Centre website.

Canada Day at Galt Gardens and Henderson Lake– July 1

July 1, 2023, marks the 156th National Day of Canada, better known as Canada Day. The day is to recognize and celebrate the anniversary of Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1987. In Lethbridge there are a ton of events planned to include a charity breakfast at Galt Gardens from 9:00 a.m. to noon and a community stage with several local artists from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Henderson Lake will be just as busy with a full run of live performances taking place on the mainstage from 11:00 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., paired with food trucks, kids’ activities and a fireworks display kicking off at 11:00 p.m.

Lethbridge Bulls Double-Header Game – July 1

On the diamond, the Lethbridge Bulls will play a doubleheader on July 1 against the Swift Currents 57s. The first game will kick off at 2:05 p.m. at Spitz Stadium with the second taking place at 7:35 p.m. on July 1. Tickets for the games can be purchased on the Lethbridge Bulls website.

Lethbridge Farmers’ Market at Lethbridge & District Exhibition – Every Saturday

Head on over to Lethbridge & District Exhibition this weekend to check out the region’s best produce, baked goods, homemade crafts and more. The Lethbridge Farmers’ Market is free to attend and runs every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until October 14, 2023. Last year, it’s estimated that nearly 57,000 people attended the market on the exhibition grounds.
